According to Town of Wallkill police, a 16-year-old was beaten and robbed by another 16-year-old at the Galleria at Crystal Run.

Town of Wallkill officers responded to a call about a robbery at 1 North Galleria Drive. After arriving on the city officers were by the victim. A 16-year-old male from the City of Middletown. The victim told police he was approached by a male acquaintance who then punched him in the face, and the robbed the victim of his sweatshirt, sneakers, and undetermined amount of money.

Town of Wallkill Police later identified and arrested the suspect, a 16-year-old male from Middletown. Hudson Valley Post is omitting his name because of his age. The suspect was charged with 2nd-degree robbery, 4th-degree grand larceny, and 5th degree criminal possession of stolen property.

The suspect was arraigned in the Town of Wallkill Court and was remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $3,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. He is scheduled to reappear in Court on January 26th.
