A Danbury, Conn. man is facing multiple charges after he struck several cars including a state police patrol car while allegedly impaired by drugs.

At approximately 10:02 a.m., a trooper was on a vehicle and traffic stop on I-684 northbound, when Christopher R. Hillman, 29, of Danbury, CT was operating a 2005 Peterbuilt Tractor Trailer in the middle lane.

Hillman first struck a 2015 Volkswagon Jetta ahead of him in the middle lane, then continued to the right shoulder where he struck the NYSP patrol car. He then continued between the guide rail and entire passenger side of the patrol car, then struck a 2016 Chevrolet Colorado.

Hillman was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs, second-degree reckless endangerment, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and several vehicle and traffic violations.

Hillman was arraigned in the Town of Bedford Court and remanded to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.

Hillman is scheduled to return to court this week.
