Orange County Police Officer Needs Your Help
A police officer in the Hudson Valley was badly injured in a car accident.
A Town of Montgomery Police Officer was seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident on Saturday, June 15, 2019. The female officer, whose name has not been disclosed, suffered a serious leg injury and needed surgery. According to the GoFundMe set up by the Town of Montgomery PBA, they are asking for help on her behalf to help provide for her family.
The GoFundMe states that because of the officer's part-time employment status, and errors in pay, the officer has been without pay since the accident. That's over a month of no income. The Town of Montgomery PBA has set a goal of $5,000 on the GoFundMe and over $3,000 has been raised.
According to the GoFundMe, the injury and recovery from surgery are anticipated to take quite some time. This will prevent the officer from returning to work for the foreseeable future. Which means even more time with no income.
If you would like to donate to help the officer, you can do so here.
