The service industry is a tough one.

Waiters and waitresses deal with all kinds of people on a day to day basis. Sometimes the experience is amazing, other times not so much. Unfortunately, we usually hear about the latter.

When we see a story with a happier ending, we have to share it.

A post from Nicole Trembs on Facebook proves that there are great people left in this world. Trembs works at Dock Brown's Lakeside Tavern in Saratoga Springs, just a short trip north of the Hudson Valley.

Nicole posted a photo of a receipt and tip she received a few weeks ago. In the post she shares that she had been struggling to post the picture because "there no words that can be put together to describe the gratitude I felt & continue to feel every day."

She goes on to explain that one customer came in for a quick lunch. The customer and Trembs had a few short, but good, conversations. Nothing out of the ordinary. However, the customer felt it necessary to leave a $1,000 tip on a $23 bill.

Nicole was speechless. Especially because of the sweet note the man left. The bottom of the bill says:

Best wishes with the baby! Get your masters done!

Trembs adds:

I hope one day we cross paths again as I was unable to say thank you before you left, you sir deserve all the good karma coming your way. And may you set an example for other people out there. I’m not saying everyone has to go out and leave a $1,000 tip, but any type of kindness you are able to share with the rest of the world can make such a huge impact on someone’s life
