Matthew L. Coppa, a Former Newburgh Resident, Dies at 28

Matthew L. Coppa of the Bronx, NY formerly of Newburgh entered into eternal rest August 2, 2017. He was 28 years old.

The son of Christine A. Coppa and the late Darin Maher and step-father, Kevin E. Neiss, Matthew was born February 16, 1989 in Newburgh, NY.

Matthew was a graduate of NFA, Class of 2008, and just received his certification as a heavy equipment operator and was looking forward to his new career.

Survivors include his mother, Christine A. Coppa of Wallkill, step-father, Kevin E. Neiss of the Town of Newburgh, daughter, Hayden Alivia Coppa at home, sister, Kimi Neiss of Newburgh and sisters in love & faith, Dory and Lucia, his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Joan Coppa of Ormond Beach Florida, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins .
