Martin Rosa, a Wappingers Falls Resident, Dies at 71
Martin Rosa, 71, of Wappingers Falls, formerly of Newburgh, entered into rest on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at his residence.
The son of the late Luis Angel and Maria (Morales) Rosa, Martin was born May 4, 1946 in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
Martin was a retired truck driver for United Orchids Plus Corp. in Middletown. He grew up in Haverstraw and was a master cabinetmaker in both acrylic and wood.
In addition to his wife Rachel (Arroyo) Rosa, Martin is survived by three sons; Eliu Rosa and Martin Rosa Jr., both of California and Ivan Rosa of Wappingers Falls; four daughters, Ruth Rosa and Zayra Rosa-Franklin both of California, Jaime Mitchell and Nina Rosa both of Wappingers Falls; three brothers, Carlos Rodriguez of Haverstraw, Ivan Rodriguez of NJ, Jimmy Rodriguez of Wappingers Falls; four sisters, Virgin Maria Batkin of NC, Maria Rodriguez and Jacquline Santiago both of Middletown and Carolyn Miranda of Haverstraw; He was also survived by seventeen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Martin was predeceased by a brother Jose Rosa and a sister Lydia Rodriguez.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 North Plank Road (Rt. 32), Newburgh, NY.
Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home at 7:30 pm Pastor Jeffrey Hooker officiating.
Cremation will be private at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
