Marilyn Jane Cardinale of Hopewell Junction passed away on December 19, 2015 at her home. She was born on August 19, 1936 in Kansas City, Kansas to the late Loren and Isabelle Cross Baker. Marilyn later moved to Millbrook, NY at the age of 12. She graduated from Millbrook Memorial High School in 1954 and Krissler Business Institute in Poughkeepsie, NY in 1956. Shortly after she met the love of her life, Norman J. Cardinale, Sr. The two were married on February 1, 1958 at St. Joseph’s Church in Millbrook, NY.

Marilyn is survived by her three beloved children: daughter, Suzanne (Joseph) Rizzo of Millbrook and Carolyn (Patrick) Hurley of Salt Point, and her six adored grandchildren Leah, Jesse, and Samantha Rizzo and Ryan, Dylan and Stephen Hurley. Marilyn is also survived by her dear sister-in-law Rose C. Lott, brother-in-law Thomas Cardinale and their families.

Marilyn was passionate about the importance of family; she put them above all. She also loved to travel and read.

Visitation for Marilyn will be on Tuesday December 22, 2015 from 6-9pm at Allen Funeral Home, 3270 Franklin Avenue, Millbrook NY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 12 noon a Grace Episcopal Church in Millbrook. Interment will follow at Saint Joseph’s Cemetery in Millbrook.
