One of the top 100 school districts in the United States is right in the Hudson Valley.

BackgroundChecks.org recently published a list of the 100 top school districts in America. They took a lot of factors into consideration, including population, money, and education levels of parents; noting that all these factors provide an advantage. When making the list they looked at graduation rates, the total number of students, teacher quality, funding per student, and test scores.

Within the list, only 5 school districts in New York State made the list. Four of those districts are in Long Island, specifically  Nassau County. The only other New York State school district that made the list is in the lower Hudson Valley.

Byram Hills Central School District, in Armonk of Westchester County, is the only Hudson Valley school district to be named amongst the Top 100 School Districts in America. The district ranked as number 69.
