John J. Nelson, a Wappinger Resident, Dies at 58

John J. Nelson, 58, of the Town of Wappinger, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at his home. He was born in Brooklyn October 13, 1958, the son of Edward Nelson and Anna Lopez Nelson.Mr Nelson was employed as a court clerk for Dutchess County in Poughkeepsie until his retirement. His wife, the former Hollis Jaffrey, predeceased him in 2008. Mr. Nelson previously was envolved with the County Players in Wappingers Falls. Surviving are his daughter, Ashley Dimmock (Daniel) of Brooklyn, his son, Matthew (Jennifer) Nelson of Williamsburg, VA., siblings, Edward (Helene) Nelson, Janet Nelson, Maryann (Raymond) Espinosa, Marilyn (Henry) Espinoza, Lillian (Wally) Lafeir, Virginia Lane, Wayne Twist, brother-in-law Peter Curialle, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his twin brother Joe, Sisters, Kathy Curialle, and Maureen. Friends may call at the Delehanty Funeral Home 64 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls, Monday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 PM.
