Although comedian Colin Quinn was "Brooklyn born and raised," he actually spent six months of his childhood living right here in the Hudson Valley.

The former SNL Weekend Update anchor and star of countless stand-up specials and comedy performances will be headlining a benefit performance at the Woodstock Theater on April 16 for the Woodstock Land Conservancy.

We had a chance to talk with Quinn about how, at a young age, he almost became a permanent Hudson Valley resident. The comedian also talked about how he used to spy on skinny-dippers in Woodstock and how he deals with those "politically correct" audiences who seem to get offended at just about everything.

Colin Quinn will perform at the Woodstock Playhouse on Saturday, April 16 at 7pm. VIP seating includes a post-show reception with light refreshments and the chance to chat with Colin. Tickets are still available online.

The Woodstock Land Conservancy owns and manages undeveloped land in Ulster County and helps land owners protect their own land. The non-profit also conducts nature education classes and outdoor activities for communities in the Hudson Valley.
