A new report recently named the 100 best cities to live in New York State.

Chamber of Commerce recently put out their list of the best cities to live in New York for 2019. To determine the list, they looked at cities with populations above 25,000 people and considered five factors: housing, employment, quality of life, education, and health. While it's no surprise, New York City was named the number 1 city to live in. But within the 100 that were named, multiple Hudson Valley cities made the cut.

The first town to make the list, at number 23, was New Rochelle of Westchester County. Further down the Chamber of Commerce's list at number 32 was Yorktown Heights, also of Westchester County. Next was New City, in Rockland County at number 37.

Kingston placed at number 41 on Chamber of Commerce's list. Poughkeepsie right behind at number 42. Wappingers Falls came in at number 55 and Hopewell Junction at number 59. New Windsor made the list at number 76. White Plains place at 79 and Mahopac was right behind at number 80. Mount Vernon closed out the Hudson Valley's appearances on the list at number 97.
