Hudson Valley Organization Rescues Dogs from Upstate NY

A Hudson Valley dog rescue recently assisted saving two dogs in Upstate New York.

Ulster County Canines is a new Boarding, Training and Dog Rescue location located in Saugerties. According to a press release on May 23rd Ulster County Canines was contacted by animal rights authorities to assist with a "massive hording operation" in Utica, New York.

Jamie Stech, who is the Executive Director of Ulster County Canines, reached out to Road 2 Home Rescue to about their poor conditions at one of their facilities. While Road 2 Home began to fix the problem, Ulster County Canines agreed to take two of the dogs from the facility.

Duffy- Ulster County Canines

On June 10th, Stech went to Albany to pick up two dogs named Duffy and Ambrose. Duffy, a 15 month old Staffordshire Bull Terrier. According to the press release Duffy "spent the bulk of his life in a crate, awash in his own urine and waste." Ambrose is a 3 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier. He is "desperately in need of a double entropy surgery" which is a painful eye condition.

The press release reports that Ambrose was scheduled to get the surgery earlier this week.
