Imagine for a second, if you lost everything you own. It's gone, destroyed or blown away. All of your treasures, things passed down from generation to generation, everyday items that you rely on, even clothing.

Now, imagine that on top of all of that, you have no power (and no idea when you will again), you can't refrigerate anything (even if you could buy food), and water is worth it's weight in gold (if you can find any). You've been sleeping on mattresses that still haven't dried out from the hurricane and all you have are the clothes on your back, which you've been wearing for almost a month, and there hasn't been much help from the Federal government.

What would you do? How would you feel? You'd certainly hope that somebody somewhere cares about what is happening to you and your family. Well that somewhere is the Hudson Valley and that someone is you and me.

This Saturday, Hudson Valley for Puerto Rico will hold a donation drive to get much needed items to those who desperately need it. It will be held in Poughkeepsie at 46 Raymond Avenue in the lot beside the Crafted Kup from 10-4.

Here's a list of what they're looking for; water, non-perishable food items, first aid supplies, personal hygiene products, feminine hygiene products, flashlights, batteries, baby food, formula, diapers, and wipes. The Crafted Kup will also have free coffee for those who donate.

Whatever you can give would be greatly appreciated, because imagine if it was you.
