Harold E. "Never Give Up" McNeil of Selkirk, NY, formerly of Middletown, a small engine mechanic for the Albany Housing Authority entered into rest Thursday, October 06, 2016 at St. Peters Hospital in Albany. He was 79.

The son of the late George and Harriet (Green) McNeil, Harold was born May 26, 1937 in Goshen, NY.

He was involved with the Future Farmers of America.
No matter how old his daughters were they were his "Little Darling's". Every time he answered the phone or saw the face of anyone he loved, he had an ear to ear smile and nobody looked happier.

Survivors include wife, Nancy (Fairbanks) McNeil at home, daughters; Cheryl McNeil Fisher and her husband, Rich (Eddie) of Wallkill, Cindy McNeil of Marlboro and Penny Hoyt and her husband, Larry Jr. of Saugerties; brother, George McNeil of Rochester; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and his twenty nine year friendship with Bill W., as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Harold was predeceased by his granddaughter, Kari-Ann Perkowski.

Visitation and funeral service will be private.
