Gordon S. Krakower, A US Army Veteran, Dies at 85

WAPPINGERS FALLS – Gordon S. Krakower, 85, died peacefully at home on September 30, 2016.

Gordon was born in Poughkeepsie on December 2, 1930. He proudly served in the US Army. He retired as Detective from 40th Precinct of the New York City Police Department after 32 years of service.

Gordon is survived by his daughter, Roberta Moore and her husband Charlie, and their son, CJ Moore; and his son, James Charles, and his children, Grace and Nicholas Charles. Gordon was predeceased by his wife, Patricia (McMullen) Krakower on July 4, 2007.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 11-12pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc. A memorial service will follow at 12pm with military honors. Burial will be private at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley.
