Frank Julian entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. The son of the late Pete and Grace (Casamese) Julian, he was born on June 22, 1923 in Uniontown, PA. Frank was 94 years old. He was a resident of the area for 57 years.
Frank was a Navy World War II Veteran, who served on the USS Gillette Destroyer for three years from 1943-1946. His service was spent mostly on the ship in both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, until the war was over in Germany. He married his beloved wife Celia on September 5, 1950. His passion was fishing and being around his family.
He is survived by his loving children; his sons Frank and his wife Lia of Clemson, SC, John of Monroe, Alfred and Melissa of New Windsor, Richard and his wife Liz of New Windsor, and his daughter Marie Senese and her husband Rocco of New Hampton; his grandchildren, Andrew, Amber, Anthony, Nicholas, Lindsey, Marie, Alfred, Nicole, Richard, Joseph, Kyle, Jake and Angelina; great-grandchildren Michael, Omaury, Giovanni, Alycia and Harper; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Celia, his brothers, Sam, Pete, Jimmy, George; his sisters Josephine, Mary, Grace, Lydia, and Katherine.
Visitation will be held from 5-8pm, Tuesday, Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Wednesday, November 22 in Sacred Heart Church. Entombment will follow at Cedar Hill Mausoleum.
