Back in August Dutchess County shoppers received some great news. A popular discount store would be making its way to the Poughkeepsie Galleria.

In a press release on August 9th the Poughkeepsie Galleria announced that construction would start at a Five Below store on the lower level of the mall near center court.

Poughkeepsie Galleria's Marketing Director Jessica Pecchia said at the time that "Five Below offers something for everyone as well as a super-fun shopping experience we cannot wait to explore."

The Hudson Valley has a few Five Below locations in Ulster and Orange County. Five Below has Five Below 700 locations in 32 states and was originated in Philadelphia.

The time has now come to open shop.

Five Below will have their Poughkeepsie Galleria grand opening weekend starting Friday, October 19 at 10am and running until Sunday. According to their Facebook page there will be fun giveaways. The first 100 people in line will get a mystery ticket that could be worth up to $100.

Will you be visiting the new Dutchess County Five Below?
