Fishkill Man Arrested on Felony Drug Charges

A 20-year-old Fishkill man was arrested on felony heroin possession charges. Bail has been set at $50,000 cash.

New York State Police pulled over 20-year-old Rocco F. Guida, of Fishkill on Route 9 in Wappingers Falls for tailgating. Police allege an investigation revealed that 23 grams of heroin was concealed in a “hide-a-key” magnetic box under the hood of the 2003 BMW he was operating.

Guida was arrested for 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony.

Guida was arraigned in the Town of East Fishkill Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond. He is due to appear before the Village of Wappinger Falls Court on March 11.

The State Police were assisted by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Petrus and K-9 Piko.
