This Saturday the Highland Hose Co #1 will celebrate 125 years of service with a parade through Highland, New York. The Town of Lloyd Police Department has issues road closure warnings which you are going to want to know about if you are planning to be anywhere near Highland or the surrounding areas.

They posted on their facebook page the following information regarding road closures and parking restriction leading up to and include the parade on Saturday. The times and street you see list below come straight from that post.

For the safety of the participants and spectators, on July 27, 2019, the following road closures will take effect for the Highland Fire Department 125th Annual Parade :

3:00 pm - 8:00 pm (Approximately)
New Paltz Rd. at S. Chodikee Lake Road to Main Street at North Road will be CLOSED

5:30 pm - 8:00 pm (Approximately)
All roads surrounding the village will be CLOSED for the parade (e.g., Milton Ave, Vineyard Ave., Commercial Ave., etc.)

NO PARKING ------------------------------------

There will be NO PARKING on the following roads:

4:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Main Street between North Road and Vineyard Ave.
Vineyard Ave. between Commercial Ave. and Woodside Place
Church St.

2:00 pm - 11:00 pm
The municipal lot adjacent to the Town Field will be closed with no parking allowed.

Parking is reserved in the Municipal Lot for vendors and handicap parking (with a handicap tag) and access must be gained prior to 5:30 pm
(Once the roads are closed at 5:30 pm for the parade, no traffic will be allowed to pass through).

Of course they also encourage you to make a plan to come out for the parade and celebrate the great accomplishments of the local fire department and their 125 years of service to the community.
