The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation announced today that examinations in falconry, wildlife rehabilitation, and leashed tracking dogs will be held Friday, April 7. These exams will start at 10 am and will be conducted at most NYSDEC regional offices throughout the state. Click here for the complete list.

While each license carries it's own set of eligibility requirements as well as acceptable test results, the minimum age for an Apprentice Falconry license is 14, you must be at least 16 to apply to be a Wildlife Rehabilitator, and you must posses a valid NY state hunting license to apply for the Leashed Tracking Dog Handler license.

No matter which area interests you the most, you could have a positive impact on the wildlife and lands throughout New York State. Registration deadline is March 17.
