Elizabeth A. Matera, A West Park Resident, Dies at 94

Elizabeth A. Matera, 94, a resident of West Park, NY passed away on January 8, 2017 at Kingston City Hospital.
Mrs. Matera worked for the Ulster County Health Department, than retired as a longtime secretary for Continental Insurance Company in NYC, NY.
She was born in Highland, NY on June 15, 1922. She was the daughter of Salvatore and Adelaide DeBarberi Fiscella.
On November 10, 1951 in NYC she married Alessio F. Matera. Mr. Matera survives at home in West Park.
Additional survivors include her brother, Charles Fiscella, Sr. of Kentucky, her nieces and nephews, Frank Matera, Michael Matera, John Matera, Alessio Matera, Peter Matera, Rose Gigliello, Rosemarie Matera, Stephanie Cavano, Charles Fiscella, Jr. and many grandnieces and nephews.
Mrs. Matera was predeceased by her brother, Angelo Fiscella.
Calling hours will take place on Friday January 13th from 4-8pm at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. 38 Main St. Highland, NY 12528.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday January 14th 9:30am at Sacred Heart Church Esopus, NY.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, NY.
