Eleanore M. Hayter, 90, of Wappingers Falls, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at her home. She was born in Bayonne, N.J. August 17, 1926, the daughter of Stephen and Anna Zelesnick Dzamba. Mrs. Hayter was predeceased by her husband, William H. Hayter on May 5, 2014. She was a registered nurse at St. Francis Hospital, serving in the C.C.U. and progressive care units, retiring in 1991, after 25 years service. Mrs Hayter volunteered at the Center for Lifetime Study at Marist College, the Randolph Smith school, and the Battered Women program. She was a graduate of Dutchess Community College School for Nurses (1973). Surviving are her children, Carol Bomba of Poughkeepsie, Elaine Calabro of Wappingers Falls, William Hayter and his wife Elizabeth of Hyde Park, Bruce Hayter of Wappingers Falls, and Melissa Taylor of Wappingers Falls, 11 Grandchildren, 9 GreatGrandchildren, Sisters, Anne Ross of Houston, Texas, Marguerite Hergeheimer of Virginia, and Marie Danowski of Bayonne, N.J., and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Florence Dzamba. Friends may call at the Delehanty Funeral Home 64 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls, Sunday from 6 to 9 PM.
