Dutchess Businesses Called on to Help First Responders
The Dutchess Business Notification Network called on area businesses to assist first responders with needed supplies.
The Dutchess Business Notification Network is a partnership among Dutchess County government, the Dutchess County Chamber of Commerce, Dutchess Tourism and other regional development groups formed to support and inform county businesses as they navigate the challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis. Now, the organization is leveraging its network to help first responders.
"We are asking all manufacturers, businesses and individuals to check your inventories to see if you can assist with preparation for this crisis," the Dutchess Business Notification Network said in an email newsletter sent to subscribers.
The supplies requested for first responders and hospital operations include masks, face shields, respirators, gowns, gloves, hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes and sanitizing equipment. Businesses that have the supplies available were asked to submit the information through a data collection form.
"We know our county can get through this troubling time and we want to thank all of you for being so generous and helpful in advance," the Dutchess Business Notification Network said in their email.
