Dianne Tarantino Macioce, 74, passed away at home with her family by her side on February 2, 2018. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her siblings Patricia, MaryAnne and husband Harold, Suzanne and husband Edward, John, her children Patrick and girlfriend Michelle, Anthony and wife Karen, Diane, John and fiancé Jeanette, her grandchildren Angela and husband Ian, Anthony and wife Kristen, Rachael and fiancé Matthew, Nicole and boyfriend Adam, Edward, Taryn, and Michayla, her great grandchildren Paisley, Abigail, and one due in August as well as countless family and friends.
She was born on February 26, 1943 to Anthony J. Tarantino and Geraldine M. Tarantino. She graduated from Midwood High School in Brooklyn in 1961. After high school she moved from Brooklyn to Deer Park and eventually settled with her husband and four children in Campbell Hall in 1972. She pursued a career in nursing, graduating from Orange County Community College in 1977. After her graduation she began working for the VA Hospital in Castle Point before moving on to Columbia Presbyterian’s Allen Pavilion in Manhattan where she stayed for 20 years until her retirement in 2008.
She was an extremely passionate and giving woman who loved to garden, travel, paint, and decorate her home. Time spent with her was always filled with laughter and her memory will forever bring happiness to anyone who was blessed to have known her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 5th 2018 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at Doulin Newburgh Funeral Home on 318 North Montgomery St Newburgh NY 12550. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, February 6th 2018 at St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church, 145 Benkard Ave Newburgh with burial to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery and Mausoleum, 5468 Route 9w Newburgh.
