David L. Patton of the Town of Newburgh, a retired mechanic for Gross Exxon in Newburgh entered into rest Monday, February 27, 2017 at Kaplan Family Hospice Residence. He was 90.

Son of the late David and Olive (Klyne) Patton, David was born March 19, 1926 in Newburgh.

Dave was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a life member of the Cronomer Valley Fire Department where he served as chief from 1971-1972 and with the fire police. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII and was a member of the American Legion, Post 1420. He was also a past leader of Boy Scout Troop 128 in Fostertown.

Survivors include his wife, Sue E. Patton at home, sons: Kevin Patton and his wife, Kelly, Robert Patton and his wife, Cynthia, all of the Town of Newburgh, sisters; Virginia Gross of the Town of Newburgh, Genevieve Barclay and Ilene Siegman, both of New Windsor, grandchildren; Warren, Wyeth, Zachary and Madeline Patton, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Dave was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara Patton, in 1988, and brothers; Donald, Howard and Norman Patton.

Visitation for family and friends will take place Friday, March 3rd from 3 to 7 p.m. at White, Venuto & Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 North Plank Rd., (Route 32) Newburgh.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4th at Trinity United Methodist Church, Fostertown Rd., Town of Newburgh. Rev. John Williams will officiate. Burial to follow at Fostertown Cemetery.
