Dana C. Pelella, a Warwick Resident, Dies at 64

Dana C. Pelella of Warwick, NY, a long time resident and influence in the musical community, entered into eternal rest Monday, January 1, 2018. He was 64. He was the son of Louis Pelella and the late June Pelella; he was born in Newburgh, NY. Dana was a graduate of NFA in Newburgh, NY. Dana married his beloved Elizabeth (McKee) Pelella in Elizabeth’s hometown of Suffern, NY. Dana was a USMA Civilian Employee at West Point.

Dana enjoyed and embraced life with humor and his unique personality.He touched so many lives through his music and friendship, that although he may be gone, he will never be forgotten.

Dana is survived by his wife of 30 years, Elizabeth; his daughters Francesca and Giovanna Pelella; his sister Shawn Mhmoud of Newburgh; brothers Kerry Pelella of Newburgh and Lance Pelella of Danbury, CT as well as nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends.

Services will be held from 2-4pm and from 6-8pm on Friday, January12 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Avenue Newburgh, NY. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting contributions for a celebration of Dana’s life in the spring. Send to: Elizabeth Pelella.
