Charles R. Ferguson, a New Windsor Resident, dies at 91
Charles R. Ferguson of New Windsor, a retired driver for the Sanitation Department at the USMA at West Point entered into rest Monday, June 26, 2017 at the Middletown Park Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. He was 91.
The son of the late Benjamin and Cassie (Crawford) Ferguson, Charles was born September 1, 1925 in Newburgh.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army serving in the European Theater of Operations.
Survivors include his loving wife, Frieda (Davenport) Ferguson, his sons; Edward Ferguson and his wife, Gina, David Ferguson, daughter, Jean Ferguson all of New Windsor, grandchildren; Ryan, Eric, Deanna and Christina; great grand-children, Joseph and Susan. Charles is also survived by his sister, Beatrice Becee of Waterbury, CT and a brother, George Ferguson of the Town of Newburgh, as well as nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Charles is predeceased by his son, Raymond C. Ferguson, brothers; Harold, Benjamin and Walter; sisters; Katherine and Ethel.
Visitation for family and friends will take place Saturday, July 1st from 10 a.m. to Noon at the White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 North Plank Rd. (Rte. 32), Newburgh, NY.
Funeral service will commence at Noon following visitation at the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Sherwood officiating.
Burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in New Windsor.
