The Hudson Valley was hit and miss on Tuesday with showers. Very few storms made it way into the area. This will not the case on Wednesday. Showers and thunderstorms will increase as a slow-moving disturbance interacts with the tropical airmass that’s in place in the region.

That particular interaction will produce some heavy rainfall at times during the day on Wednesday. Temperatures will stay warm and sticky too.

Good news, it will dry up for spell Wednesday night into Thursday until more showers move back in Friday. The warm sticky weather will stay with us through the end of the week.

Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Wednesday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 78. Continued breezy with a south wind. Storms will produce heavy rain.

Wednesday night: More showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 71. Some of the storms will produce heavy rain.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy, high near 84. Showers likely before 11am with a possible thunderstorm.
