Hopefully all supermarkets and whole sale retailers will catch on this trend.

Like many people across the world, the Hudson Valley is dealing with COVID-19. We're not really sure what to expect, but we know there are people working around the clock to make sure that we're all safe and taken care of.

With that being said, several grocery stores are opening their doors early in the morning for senior residents to get their shopping done.  Another Hudson Valley location has jumped on board, BJ's Wholesale in Wappingers.

In a press release Craig Lombardi, General Manager, said "Beginning Wednesday (March18th), people ages 60 and up can use a designated entrance from 8:00am until 9:00am." Lombardi adds "We're making the decision to offer this every day of the week to allow for community members in this age category to shop in less crowded environment, which better enables social distancing. "

Lombardi also said "Now, more than ever, it's important we come together as a community to support each other during challenging times."
