Ah, another fad that has people going out of their minds. This time it happens to be a 20oz glass cup shaped like a bear, wearing a green hat, and sporting a Starbucks logo.

No hate, but honestly, when I first saw the image of this cup that people are going wild for, my mind went to the honey bear in my kitchen cabinet. It seems like many had these same initial thoughts.

Many, including several across the Hudson Valley who have been pretty vocal on social media, are feeling pretty upset that they weren't able to get their hands on the exclusive release. However, maybe there's an alternative?

Businesses Jump On 'Bearista' Trend

One of the first things I stumbled upon after people were unsuccessful in getting the 'Bearista' cup was Aldi's response. They instantly joined the chat, chiming in with a 'who did it better' comment teasing their similarly designed release.

Not to be outdone, Stop & Shop decided to get in on the action, adding a spoof design that is absolutely a nod to their in store robot named Marty. As of right now it doesn't seem like this robot inspired drinking vessel is actually for sale....yet.

Hudson Valley Retailer Joins Viral 'Cup Craze'

Not a surprise, some local businesses have joined in on the action, and one of our favorite places in the Hudson Valley has been having some fun in their response...

Naturally, the comment section has been loving every minute of the the Adams post, some even calling for their marketing/social media staff to get a raise for the above take.

Meanwhile, back at the Marketplace - Bearista cups (which remember, originally retailed for $29.95) continue being posted for hundreds of dollars in local buy/sell groups and forums.
