News broke earlier this week that the Arlington Fire District had been told to remove the American flags from their fire trucks. The news sparked outrage through the Hudson Valley and the U.S. Fox News, USA Today and other nation wide outlets have been running the story.

CJ and I wanted to make sure that we fully understood what went down in that meeting and what it all means. We had the opportunity to speak with the Chief of the Arlington Fire District Tory Gallante and get the full run down of what was asked of him at Monday nights meeting:

Currently, the Arlington Fire Department flags are flying proudly at the Hughsonville Fire Department in Poughkeepsie. As mentioned in the interview, there is a follow up meeting being held tonight in hopes that the directive to remove the flags is reversed.

In the mean time if you would like to voice your opinion, feel free to check out the petition on Change.Org
