Anthony Leo, a Poughkeepsie Resident, Dies at 95

Anthony Leo a lifelong Resident of Poughkeepsie passed away peacefully on January  18, 2016 at Wingate at Ulster.  He was 95.

Born on February 10, 1920 in Poughkeepsie to the late Antonio and Christina Franco Leo.

Anthony proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Navy Seabees.  He worked for IBM for 30 years prior to his retirement.

He was a member of the Poughkeepsie Elks Lodge #275 and the Loyal Order of Moose.  He was an avid Golfer and enjoyed Sports.

He is survived by his devoted Fiancé Shirley Enkler of Milton, Loving Sisters Joan Leo of Hyde Park, Dolores Garrison of Poughkeepsie, and Mary Wilkins of Raleigh, NC.  He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Anthony was predeceased by his sisters Rose DeStefano, and Madaline Hines, His Brothers John and Larry Leo.

Friends may call on Tuesday January 26, 2016 from 3-6pm at Parmele Auchmoody & Schoonmaker Funeral Home 110 Fulton Ave, Poughkeepsie.  Burial of Ashes will be in the Spring at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
