Anne Georgina D’Eon, a Newburgh Resident, Dies at 87

Anne Georgina D’Eon, a resident of the Town of Newburgh and a retired RN for Castle Point Veterans Hospital, entered into rest on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at home with her loving family at her side. She was 87.

The daughter of the late Frank and Ida D’Eon, Anne was born on October 22, 1929 in Publico, Nova Scotia, Canada. She married her beloved Kenneth on October 19, 1957 in Lynn, Massachusetts.  Together they shared 59 wonderful years of marriage.  Ken survives at home.

Anne enjoyed sewing, many outdoor sports, playing the organ along with many volunteer activities.  She was a devoted Wife, loving Mother and cherished Friend to many.

Special thanks to her many physicians and compassionate caregivers.

In addition to her husband, Ken, Anne is survived by her daughter, Dr. Lisette D’Eon, M.D. of Buffalo, NY; siblings, Adeline d’Entremont, Antoinette Harpel, Pauline d’Eon and Augustine d’Eon; several sister-in-laws, a brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5-7:30 pm on Wednesday, July 5 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 7:30 pm at the funeral home.  Following visitation and a Mass of Christian Burial through West Publico Funeral Home in West Publico, Nova Scotia and burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery in West Publico, Nova Scotia, Canada.
