As an animal lover and someone looking into adopting a pet, stories like this always break my heart.

On Thursday, December 1st the Orange County Sheriffs Office with assistance from the Goshen Humane Society served a search warrant to a homeowner in Wallkill located on Excelsior Avenue. Complaints had been filed about the homeowner regarding animal cruelty. When the Officers and Humane Society staff entered the home, they came across a female pitbull who was severely thin and weak.

There was also an active bench warrant on Santos from the City of Middletown on an unrelated charge. She was remanded by Judge Brockett on $1,500 cash bail or bond alternative.
