Make sure if you have a fire hydrant in your neighborhood that its clear of snow.

After the winter storm "Stella" dropped in, some areas over two feet of snow, we have a lot of clean up to do.

We reminded you the other day about making sure that if your house has natural gas to make sure the vents are clear of snow.

We also wanted to remind you that if you have a fire hydrant near your house you could really help out your local fire department by making sure that the hydrant is clear of snow so that if the hydrant is needed the FD can get to it.

Most fire departments have to go out and clear the hydrants themselves so if you do decide to help out make sure you clear around the hydrant about 3 feet all the way around it.

We do have some snow if the forecast for Saturday so if you can help out please do and "Adopt a Hydrant."
