Do you go everywhere with your smart phone? Is it with you all the time? Here are two apps that I have recently became aware of (and been using them) that are both ways for you to get rebates on wine, beer and liquor.

So far, they have been easy to use. Make the purchase, get your receipt, open the app, scan the receipt, scan the bar code on the product and then the money gets deposited into your app account. On Ibotta, when you have reached $20 rebate level in your app, you can then have the money 'deposited' into a PayPal account or use the 'money' to purchase $20 gift cards to 6 or 8 companies, ie Starbucks or Best Buy.

I have only recently downloaded the bevRage app, as it only launched this week, but this one I am interested in how it is going to work. So far, what I can tell it works the same way as the iBotta app, but with one twist. You can also use it to get rebates on items that you purchase in a bar or restaurant.

Have you used either one of these apps? Have they worked smoothly for you or has there been issues?  Here are the links to each one of the apps so you can check them out for yourself?
