You’ve Never Seen a Pool this Cool In New York
The Hudson Valley is full of centuries-old homes but it isn't often that one of this magnitude becomes available for purchase. Known as Rondale this stunning country estate in Stone Ridge offers 67 acres, 5 bedrooms, a 2 bedroom guest house, and a 3-bay garage.
It also has a unique amenity that nature lovers will appreciate. 115 Buck Road in Stone Ridge not only has beautiful acreage on both sides of Buck Road which is surrounded by conservation protection, but It also has what I call an original natural swimming pool.

The property has a small pond and a stream running through it. At some point, someone who owned the home decided to add a spring feed filtered pool. When you think about the pool don't think of shiny new and blue. Instead, think this must be what pools looked like in 1710 when the original part of the house was built minus the filter and cement of course.
Only in the Hudson Valley could you find a home that was partially built in 1710 and have it feel like it was still relevant today. Rondale is the type of old home I would want to live in. It has large fireplaces and vaulted ceilings, and I am really intrigued by the spring-fed pool.
I wonder does it have fish in it? Do you have to battle the frogs for a place to sit on a hot summer day? No matter what I know I would enjoy finding out. I have found many old houses to write about but this one is definitely one of the oldest. And hey if you are reading this and know anything about that pool please reach out and tell me more.
