We all face the chance of our passwords, personal records an even our entire identities being stolen everyday. Why do people take them? How much are they even worth the the dark web?
I'm not the most technologically savvy person and I am not a thief but I would have thought that stealing someone's personal information would be worth far more than just a few measly bucks.
In an age where we rely on computer for everything it's important to know that almost every one of your accounts is worth money. Sadly, the amount makes you question why it's even worth a thief's time. According to an article in Market Watch, your Google password which can hold so much personal information can sell for as low as $1. Your Facebook account goes for an average of $5. If you have a PayPal account that is worth about $250.
You're entire identity is only worth about $1,200. Does it make you question your entire existence?
