A woman who was accused of stabbing an Orange County woman in her stomach, shoulder and arm was sentenced to prison.

In late July, Annabelle Nay stabbed Kate Riviello multiple times in her Port Jervis home.

Riviello told Hudson Valley Post that Nay shattered a corked wine bottle over her head, grabbed a kitchen knife, stabbed Riviello in stomach and three more times in her left arm.

During the altercation, Riviello bit Nay’s faces and poked her in both eyes. Riviello was able to push Nay outside of her home and call 911. Nay fled the scene.

Riviello was rushed to Orange County Medical Center and underwent life-saving surgery.

Nay was arrested not far from Riviello’s home. She was charged with 1st-degree assault, two counts of 2nd-degree assault, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, all felonies.

Recently, in Orange County Court, Nay was sentenced to 10 years in prison and five years parole.
