At one time or another you have spent some time waiting in line at a drive thru.

The Dunkin' Donuts on Route 9 in Fishkill has the fastest drive thru I have ever been thru. My last time there it was under a minute and half from ordering to having my coffee in my hand.

Depending on the time of day sometimes the wait during a trip thru the drive thru can sometimes fell like a eternity.

If you are looking for the best and quickest drive thru for lunch today, they say that Wendy's is your best bet, with the average order taking 2 minutes and 49 seconds to deliver to the customer. They were the only fast food chain to crack three minutes.

The folks at OSR sent people to take about 2,000 trips to 15 different fast-food chains to find out which one has the fastest drive-thru. On average, each order took 3 minutes and 46 seconds from start to finish.

Here are the top 5....

1. Wendy's.

2. Dunkin' Donuts . . . 3 minutes and 1 second.

3. Burger King . . . 3 minutes and 21 seconds.

4. KFC . . . 3 minutes and 24 seconds.

5. McDonald's . . . 3 minutes and 28 seconds.

On the other end, the slowest drive thru went to Starbucks with just under 5 minutes per order.

When you pull in to say Dunkin' Donuts and the drive thru line is really long, do you wait in line, no matter how long it is, or do you go and park and go into the store?
