Santa will be out and about in the Hudson Valley long before he comes down the chimney in the early hours of Dec. 25 to load up gifts under the Christmas tree.

The Town of Dover Tree Lighting & Holiday Festival Celebration is Saturday, Dec. 8 from 5-9:30PM.

The event includes a parade that begins at Wingdale Elementary School and ends across the street at Boyce Park; holiday arts and crafts; hot cocoa, coffee and donuts; pictures with Santa & Mrs. Claus; a Stuff the Sleigh event collecting nonperishable food; and a bonfire.

Dover Plains
