A father and son from the upper Hudson Valley were arrested together after State Police say they were in possession of several drugs.

A joint investigation conducted by the New York State Police, the Greene County District Attorney’s Office, and the Greene County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the execution of a search warrant at 10 Stacy Road in the Town of Coxsackie.

Police say the search resulted in the recovery of approximately 50 grams of cocaine, around 8 ounces of marijuana, and over $1,3000 in currency.

The occupants of that residence, father and son, 45-year-old Marco Mazariego and Alexander Mazariego, 20, were both charged with 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and 3rd-degree criminal possession of marijuana, felonies.

The father was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.

Both were arraigned before the Town of Coxsackie court and remanded to Greene County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 secured bond.
