A missing Hudson Valley 16-year-old was found after he was reported missing for over almost 3 weeks.

According to New York State Police, 16-year-old Brandon Schaefer, of Kinderhook, was last seen on February 24th at 5:45 a.m. He was described as a white male, 5″6′ and 150 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.

It was suspected that Schaefer traveled to Wyantskill, New York.

While many questions still remain, on Thursday Schaefer was located at a family member’s home in Cairo. Schaefer was found in good health and returned to his family in Kinderhook.

State Police have not revealed anything else about the boy's whereabouts for the past three weeks. State Police would like to thank members of the public who assisted with this investigation
