There’s a Real Life Ice Castle Just Hours Away From Hudson Valley
Remember the ice castle Elsa made in the hit Disney movie Frozen? Well, there's an actual one just a few hours away from Buffalo.
According to WIVB, the ice palace is part of the 123rd annual Saranac Lake Winter Carnival. The carnival runs through February 9th.
3,300 blocks of ice were used to make the palace. Each block weighs 500 lbs and it took 100 people over 10 days to build it. The palace is lit up during the night.
People from all over the world visit this carnival. Best to hurry before the festival is over though!
