Teresa Bruschetti, a Port St. Lucie Resident, Dies at 98
Teresa Bruschetti, 98, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, entered into rest on August 13, 2017. The daughter of the late Francesco and Anna (Mazzeo) Orilia, she was born September 23, 1918 in Palermo, Sicily.
Teresa was a loving wife to her late husband, Giacomo Bruschetti, who preceded her death in 1993. They raised 6 children: John, Frank, Anna, Rosa, Gina and Cathy. She is survived by her children John Bruschetti and his wife Francesca of Newburgh, Frank Bruschetti and his wife Anna of Newburgh; Rosa Pace of Newburgh; Gina Zarcone of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Cathy Reis and her husband James Reis II of Longview TX. She was predeceased by her daughter Anna in 2016; Rosa’s husband Giulio in 1989; Gina’s husband Joseph Zarcone in 1992; her grandson, Giulio Pace in 1999, as well as her siblings, Salvatore, Giovanni, Vincenzo and Giuseppe, Caterina and Bettina, all whom resided in Palermo, Sicily. She has 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was a Newburgh, NY resident for 34 years, where she was an active parishioner at Sacred Heart Church. She moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 1998 where she was a parishioner at St. Bernadette Church.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Friday, August 18 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, August 19 at Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh, with burial following in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
