As the heavier snow has now moved into most of the Hudson Valley, we have been receiving various statements and releases from counties and communities across our area. We are working hard to gather this information and get it to you.

Here's what we have at this point.

Sullivan County is now under a State of Emergency until midnight tonight due to the combined effects of last week's storm and today's snowstorm. This means that all unnecessary travel is banned from county and local roads. Sullivan County road crews, 911 staff, and Emergency Operations Center Team continue to work around the clock in association with the state, town, and Army National Guard personnel.

Dutchess County has issued a State of Emergency with travel restrictions beginning at 5 pm today and going through tomorrow morning at 4 am.   All county offices were closed at 1 this afternoon and they are urging all residents and businesses to plan accordingly for safe commutes home. Metro-North is operating on a reduced weekday schedule with some combined/ canceled trains for this evening's commute. Dutchess County Public Transportation is currently operating all of their routes and the American Red Cross has 3 overnight shelters open throughout the county at the Amenia Town Hall, Dover High School, and the Pawling Fire House.

Ulster County has opened their Warming Center for 24 hours until tomorrow, and then while it will remain open, the hours of operation will change tomorrow. You can get the latest information on that here.

Orange County has closed their DMV offices today and has an alert center posted at orangecountygov.com to keep residents up to date with the latest information.

We will continue to update you with the latest information as the day goes on.
