As the cold front moves through our area on Friday afternoon and night, it will somewhat stall over the Hudson Valley for the day on Saturday, keeping a threat for showers in our forecast.  After that, a nice Canadian high-pressure system will move into the area and clear out the showers.  That high pressure system will also lower our humidity levels and make it more comfortable for Sunday.  The Hudson Valley will also see some sunshine for Sunday afternoon.  Looking at our long-term forecast for next week, calls for a chance of showers all week.

Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Saturday:  Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers.  Continued sticky, high near 80.

Saturday night:  Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers.  Low around 58.

Sunday:  A few scattered showers early in the morning, otherwise partly sunny.  High near 72, with lower humidity.

Monday:  Cloudy with showers again.  Cooler, high near 58.
