Raymond G. St. Paul from New Paltz, NY, passed away April 15, 2017 at Montgomery Nursing Home. He would have been 97 years old on May 25, 2017. Raymond was the son of Leopold and Paulette St. Paul, who were from France and settled in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and had their family of 11 children. Raymond, while stationed in the U.S. Army in Puerto Rico, met and married his wife, Zoraida Anna Fuentes St. Paul. He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years. He was a very proud WWII Veteran, who learned many jobs while in the military. Raymond was able to help his younger siblings with the extra necessities while in the military. While stationed in the Army in Hawaii, he enjoyed the beauty of the paradise island, which Later became our 50th State. Raymond, learned and earned a plumbing certificate, worked in fine Furniture. While living in Brooklyn, NY, worked at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and was retired from the Federal U.S. Postal service in NYC. Raymond, had Been very active in civil service, and was a social activist. Improved the neighborhoods with street lighting. He had been a member of the American Legion. Raymond and Zoraida Anna St. Paul had two daughters, Zoraida Lugo-St. Paul, and Edwin Lugo, and their son, Jaime Lugo and his wife Joy Anna, and daughter, Dr. Joanelle Z. Lugo, MD. Their daughter, Yvonne Maloney (St. Paul) ; her husband, Kevin Maloney, and their three daughters; Daneille, Natalie and Zoraida Maloney from Highland, NY. Of the 11 siblings that Raymond had, he is survived by his youngest brother, Anthony St. Paul and son, Antoine and his wife and two daughters, also survived by his youngest sister, Rachel Losada (St. Paul) and her two daughters, Claudine and her three sons, and Camille and her Husband, Kevin Sherman and five children. He has many nephews, nieces, and their families. Raymond St. Paul, will be missed by friends and families. Surely, such a generous person and one to offer solutions to any problem, is a true person to be remembered. Go in peace! Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 23,2017 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at Doulin Newburgh Funeral Home Inc. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 24,2017 at 11:00am at the funeral home, burial will follow in Orange County Veteran’s Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
