The school took immediate action, and contacted the authorities when they became aware of the threat.

On Tuesday, February 19 at approximately 8:08 a.m. Poughkeepsie High School called Police headquarters reporting that they had been made aware of a threat from one student to another student.

The school administration put the school in Lockout.

Police responded to Poughkeepsie High School and eventually the 14-year old suspect was located outside the school and taken into custody.

The school administration took the school out of lockout and resumed normal activity.

After an investigation, the 14-year old suspect will be charged through Family Court with threatening the other student online. The teen was released on an appearance ticket to his mother.
