An unlicensed Dutchess County man, in an unregistered car, is accused of hitting a parked truck and fleeing the scene.

On Wednesday, Rhinebeck Police investigated reports of a hit-and-run in the Village of Rhinebeck. 44-year-old Sean Dooley of Wappinger Falls is accused of striking a parked pick-up truck and not stopping.

Authorities soon found Dooley in Dutchess County and discovered he was driving in an unregistered vehicle with a suspended license, police say.

Dooley was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed, a misdemeanor, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and having an unregistered motor vehicle, both traffic infractions.

Dooley was issued appearance tickets and is due to return to the Village of Rhinebeck Court on Nov. 9.
